Framed Original Collage - Possum #1
Framed Original Collage - Possum #1
I made two possum collages in this style when I was living in Cooroy on Kabi Kabi land. The name of this town, originally spelt ‘Coorooey’ is derived from the language of the Kabi Kabi people, meaning ‘possum’. Images of these beautiful creatures were carved, sculpted and painted around the town, and I chose to celebrate them in my own way, with cut out paper gems and flowers.
