Cormorants are another favourite seabird of mine, otherwise known colloquially as a ‘Shag’. In Newcastle they can be seen drying themselves with wings outstretched on rocky shores and are frequently perched on the streetlights dotted along the road adjacent to the Cowrie Hole. Retro towel stripes painted in burnt orange, avocado, chocolate brown and white, with recessed found images on wood panel.
